If fly fishing is your passion, your profession, or both, you already own and use the best quality gear you can get. Why settle for less in a fly tying desk? Leave the cheap particle board, crude joinery and industrial styling of typical fishing furniture for the bait fishermen, and try out a one-of-a-kind, hand-made tying desk from Little South Fork. This model is compact enough to fit almost anywhere, and beautiful enough to complement the decor in any fine home. You'll keep it in your living room where everyone can see it, not stashed in the basement! The desk pictured above is made of walnut and maple, and is SOLD.For other wood combinations, or a desk identical to the one shown, please inquire! Price for desks in beetlekill, spruce or alder is $695. Prices go up from there for other wood combinations, depending on lumber prices at the time of order.
Ken is moving his wood shop to Elk, Washington as of April, 2008. This move gives us real, grid-powered electricity and a real phone, plus a MUCH larger shop space to work in. Dan is remaining behind in Colorado to continue the rest of the business. Because of this move, we will not be able to build any furniture until late summer, 2008. We are also discontinuing furniture sales through fly shops--from now on, all orders will be custom, but prices will remain the same.

We really enjoy working directly with the customer to create fine fishing furniture that's exactly right for their home and decor. Prices stay the same for custom orders, unless the wood combination chosen is more expensive. Inquire for more information and we can make you the fishing furniture of your dreams. Custom carvings of your favorite fish or fly on the doors, inlay, your name carved in the desk--it's all possible. For example:
Our customer had all cherry furniture in his office, and wanted a tying desk and rod rack to match. Solid cherry was extremely expensive at the time, and would've doubled the cost of the pieces. So we went with cherry-stained alder, and matched his colors by mailing wood color samples back and forth.
He also wanted a custom piece--a matching fly storage and sorting table (yes, this guy REALLY likes to flyfish!). Now that we've built one for him, we are offering the "Roaring Fork Fly Sorting Table" for $1200 in most wood combinations. 88 compartments with wooden dividers (no plastic), sliding glass covers, 2 drawers, doors underneath with shelves.

We live in a truly remote area with no phone lines or power lines, and our homes run entirely on solar and wind power. You can read more about that at Otherpower.com, Dan is the Technical Director there. We may have to drive up the pass (9,500 feet elevation) to call you back on our very spotty cell phone, so it's important to leave a good time to call!
Interested in carrying Little South Fork products at your fly shop? Throw us a line! You can download a PDF brochure about our desks, too. It's printable. We are no longer stocking our furniture in fly shops, but if you refer a custom order to us, we'll give you a percentage.
